Pianist and co-founder of the band Berthil Busstra is a veritable Fender Rhodes specialist, one of the very best in the Dutch jazz scene. Berthil has the ability to express the kind of irrepressible curiosity and creativity that keeps him pushing the musical boundaries of the Buzz Bros Band. Berthil, who has worked with many of the main artists in the Dutch jazz scene, teaches at the Rotterdam Music Academy. His own band band, Great Eyeballs, plays many of his compositions.
Drummer Marc Schenk seems to literally drag the audience into the music, sporting the valuable combination of an infectious type of energy, a truly positive vibe, and loads of musical depth. As a nominee for the Erasmus Jazz Award, Marc is an active educator, performing clinics and workshops at numerous drum and music schools. He played with all the big names in the Dutch jazz scene, ranging from Bert van den Brink to Benjamin Herman. Marc also plays in Great Eyeballs, Berthil’s band.
